Eating to Survive 

Eating for health and well-being, not just for pleasure or convenience is challenging. Research has shown that the consumption of healthy foods is not only beneficial for physical health but also for psychosocial outcomes and values, such as well-being, outward appearance, and social responsibility.

But when you have limited resources for quality food, limited access to quality foods and limited financial resources to purchase continuously increasing food prices-- it becomes extremely challenging to maintain a healthy diet.

 

This is particularly true for individuals living in poverty, at-near poverty, one check away from poverty or one crisis away from poverty. Due to these circumstances, individuals living in poverty in America are more likely to commit crimes.

 

So, let's talk food for life!
